First Impressions
War. War is never a good thing, but when Benedict comes back from war, Beatrice is all ready to wage a war of words with him. You can tell that there is a lot of tension between these two characters.
The question is, who will win?
Both of these characters use a lot of hyperboles and similes in order to put the other one down. You can tell that there is a history between these two characters, but the audience doesn't know what it is yet. As Act I continues, I have a feeling we will learn more about their relationship as well as the other major protagonists in the play.
Favorite Quote so far: "I would rather listen to my dog bark at a crow than hear a man swear he loves me" (The woman has sass and I like it!)
